If this was my country or if I were a citizen here
I would on a day today spit the truth about politics
No- I wouldn’t, for politics is a dirty game
I wouldn’t point at the minister of finance
for failing to pay me in time
I wouldn’t lift a finger to the minister of home affairs
for leading a corrupt police force
I wouldn’t question why the police are a Force-Force
and not a service

If I were a citizen of this country
I wouldn’t disrespect the leadership of parastatals
I wouldn’t question their hefty salaries of millions
When we are earning cents

I say-, and I mean it by blood and water
If I were a citizen here,
I wouldn’t question why there is so much freedom of speech
And limited freedom after speech

If this country was mine
To rule and to live in
I would sit back and watch events unfold
And hope it’s a long unending dream
Praying when I wake up that a foreign writer
Will create a movie of our story
Just like Blood Diamond, Hotel Rwanda, Tears of the Sun, Sarafina
I will just hope that a good poet will one day like a reggae artiste
recite from a foreign land, a poem of our situation
And get awards and earn international tours
Even if they make a wrong script, exaggerate and pun of the condition

If were only a citizen of this place
I would zip my mouth just like that poet
That writer or that journalist
And only write of arts events, covering clean poets like the one on mike

If I were a citizen of another country
Other than this one we are in
I would have been live on TV
Reciting praise/curse poetry to the leaders
Naming all that they do by correct names
But since I am here
I expect more……or nothing
But it wasn't until she turned 18 that she was given her astonishing diagnosis - she had two vaginas.
The blonde 27-year-old from High Wycombe has the million-in-one condition uterus didelphys, which means she has two separate uteruses and cervixes as well.

But she told ITV's This Morning she was comfortable with having the condition, despite the fact she had to effectively lose her virginity twice.
'Once I found out what it was I told everybody,' she told TV hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
'I thought it was amazing and it's definitely an ice-breaker at parties'

She added: 'If women want to have a look, I'm quite happy to show them, it's not something I'm embarrassed by.'
Hazel went to the doctor after her long-term boyfriend told her she was 'different' in the genital area.

Sitting next to Hazel, Doctor Dawn Harper explained: 'When developing in the womb girls start with two tubes. These fuse and the septum breaks down and forms one uterus.
'In around one in 3,000 cases the septum stays within the uterus but to actually have two separate uteruses is much rarer.'

Hazel said previously she had found sex very uncomfortable, but now she didn't suffer any adverse effects. She turned down surgery as it could have left significant scar tissue.

She revealed: 'When I was younger I thought I was having cystitis and urine infections from a young age when I was tearing the middle septum.'
She added that she once asked a school friend which 'hole' she should use for a tampon, but became too embarrassed to continue the conversation after her friend thought she meant she put it up her bottom.
She added: 'I used to suffer from horrendous cramps and my periods could be very heavy. I now know that my periods were worse because I have two wombs.
'So if I get pregnant I have to be very aware not to get pregnant on the other side.'
Dr Harper added that Hazel was more likely to have a breached birth as her uteruses were smaller and she was more likely to need a caesarean section. She must also have double smear tests when checking for cervical cancer.

But Hazel is unphased by the prospect.

'I have a great sex life,' she said.

In her confessional statement, Madam Sukuratu said she sold human heads for N20,000 to willing buyers and that greed made her go into the business.

“A herbalist approached me last year and demanded for human parts. When he told me how much they buy the parts, I was tempted. I approached one Tantoloun, who works in a grave yard. He sold a skull for N10,000 and I sold it in return for N20,000. Greed made me to continue until I was arrested. I buy pieces of bones for N2,000, liver and intestines for N1,000 each and resell for N5,000 or more depending on the buyer’s bargaining power. I am not a killer. I have never killed anyone. I only request for decomposed human parts. I needed the money to feed my 3 children aged 30, 27 and 23. Those who patronize me are herbalists and trado-medical practitioners. The parts are used to prepare concoction for sick children. So far, I have only sold 10 human skulls.” she said.

Paraded with her was a cemetery worker, Rasheed Tantoloun and two others who were arrested by men of the Lagos state Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in Joju area of Sango Ota, in possession of human head, intestines, bones, kidney and other human parts.

Rasheed in his statement said whenever his boss told him to dig up old gaves to make way for new burials, he would exhume this bodies and then sell them with the help of one Ibrahim whom he hired

“Anytime old corpses are exhumed, we usually collect the parts and sell to ready buyers who are usually agbo sellers (herbs dealers). My salary is N5,000 a month but since I started doing the business, I made three times more than the amount. We also dug corpses buried without caskets” he said

His accomplice, Ibrahim Waheed who says he is an Arabic teacher said he was paid N3,000 for exhuming dead bodies. In his statement, he said “we usually tamper with dead bodies buried without caskets and those whose relatives never showed up after burial. My job is to exhume and dismember the bodies and at the end of which I would be paid N3,000″.

According to the state Police Commissioner, Umar Tanko, luck however ran out on them when men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS got wind of their illicit business and decided to pose as prospective buyers

“Detectives led by the SARS commander, Abba Kyari, posed as buyers and bought a human head from Salami at N120,000. After arresting the suspects, Salami’s house was searched during which a human head, liver, intestines and other parts were found. We picked interest in this case because of the disappearances of people. With their arrest, we hope that we’ll get to the root of these disappearances. We discovered that most of these bodies are fresh. It is criminal to deal in human parts. A few weeks back, Soka Forest was discovered in Ibadan. As you can see, this crime happens all over” he said.
As you read this, a rich man who drove his car to his girlfriend’s hostel room in Ebonyi State University, has died during a marathon séx with her.Sources at the hostel, where the incident occurred, said the man died in the day time inside the room of the said female student located at Goddy Ogbaga Avenue while they were in action.

A lady who also lives in the hostel, said: “The incident threw the entire hostel residents into confusion as everybody began to run helter-skelter to evade police arrest. Some of the hostel residents have been arrested by police.

“I did not know what was happening until when police stormed our hostel and began to arrest everybody on sight. But from what I heard the man visited the girl and in the process of making love, he died.

“I cannot say for sure if the man was a mere acquaintance to the girl or not. All I can say for sure is that I have not been seeing the man visiting the girl in the past.

“I don’t know the girl very well because our hostel is very large. It is a three-storey building and many students are living there. I do not know who is who except my friends. So I don’t know the name of the girl, department or her level in school.”

According to Vanguard, the incident happened at the girl’s hostel near the Presco campus of the university.

The female student, after the incident, took the body of the deceased to his car before proceeding to report the incident to the police. She was arrested and is currently helping the police in the investigation of the incident.

Who knows if the man is even married and left his wife and kids at home to “enjoy” a girl in her hostel? Sad!
And Do You Really Know Him?What does your boyfriend do for a living?

Is it an honest and transparent occupation or profession?

Would you be proud to say it openly or something you are ashamed to admit?

It matters these days of interesting times in Nigeria with many covetous men and millions unemployed men in every state and most of them are under peer pressure to live up to the expectations of their community and society.

Every one of them wants to impress his girlfriend, even if he cannot afford a sanitary pad.

Many girls want the good fun filled life and so they will even sleep with guys they don't know where they live or where they work.

That was how a female senior executive with a Master's degree got pregnant for a lying jobless guy she never knew his real residence. :o

They met at a club, had sex at a guest house and the rest at her residence and she got pregnant. And now when she found out the bitter truth, she was so heart broken that she wanted to commit suicide, because she became the laughing stock of her peers.

Who wondered how she could be fooled by a man who did not even finish high school and was not even articulate?

Don't be afraid to ask and find out things you are not comfortable with once you have noticed them about your boyfriend.
The company he keeps and where he likes to hang out.

Lest we forget, there is no male criminal who does not have a girlfriend or wife?

How can you date a guy for even six months without knowing where he lives and what he does for a living?

Why I am asking?

I had a girlfriend for over three years who never knew my residence and she was an undergraduate of a top old generation university in Nigeria.

She was only lucky I am a god guy.

Others have not been that lucky as they fell into the wrong hands and ended up either messed up or dead.
Lest you forget, in every relationship, your life is at stake. And wrong choice of a boyfriend can ruin you for life.
Moreover, a guy claiming to have a good job is not enough.

If he has a good job, he must also have a good home. And please, don't forget that having a nice looking house does not mean he has a good home.

What makes a good home is the goodness in it for your happiness and security. And not the lifestyle of luxury of the owner.
A brute living in a posh house is not better than a bull in a china shop and does not have a good home.

I know a girlfriend who never knew the real residence of her boyfriend until their wedding day and it was no longer the nice three bedroom flat, but a dingy single room in a ghetto.

Know where he lives, how he lives and where he works and it would be best to visit his residence and office without notice, because telling him you want to visit him gives him enough time to set you up with a fake residence and fake office.

Taking your time to know a guy before dating him will save you from the terrible choices of others who failed to do so and are now wetting their pillows with tears of regrets.
The scammer will usually say it’s a long-lost relative or the victim, or the deceased millionaire had no relatives so they sought for someone who shared the same last name.

BUT, then the Advance Fee Fraud came in.

The man told him he had to pay $2,500 to transfer the money into his name. He then had to stump for several more documents, some of which cost $5,000. The scammer told Rempel he had to open a bank account in London, with a minimum $5,000 deposit. He said some of the money had been transferred into the account for “safe keeping”.

The scammers then upped the ante, sending an email from a “government department” claiming he owed $250,000 tax on his inheritance. Rempel’s contact assured him he’d “negotiated the fee down to $25,000″.

Rempel decided to travel to London to check that the deal was legit. He made his way to Mexico, where his farm-owning uncle gave him cash and money for a plane ticket. He said: “I had $10,000 in cash in my pocket and my uncle sent another $25,000 when I was over there.”

Once in London, Rempel met “some people” and handed over the $10k. The next day, the 419ers showed their target a suitcase they said contained $10.6m in shrink-wrapped US bills. Rempel demanded further proof, at which point one scammer extracted a bill and “cleansed” it with a liquid “formula” which “washed off some kind of stamp”. The process converted the cash into “legal tender”, Rempel was told.

Rempel said: “I was like holy crap, is that mine?” he said. “They said ‘yes sir, it’s yours.’ It all sounded legit.”

Rempel went back to his hotel room with the magic formula to wait for the 419ers “so they could cleanse all his money”. They, of course, disappeared, later claiming they’d “been held up”.

The victim then managed to drop the bottle containing the formula, breaking it. He rang his contact who said he’d get further supplies. Rempel flew back to Leamington and waited several weeks until a call which confirmed more formula was available for $120,000.

Rempel said: “I thought, ‘let’s work on it, nothing is impossible.’”

The 419ers told Rempel they “were willing to meet associates in different countries to get cash for the formula”, but that they’d need several plane tickets, at $6,000 a pop.

The scammers subsequently confirmed they’d collected $100,000, but were still $20,000 short. Apparently, there was “a guy in Nigeria who had it, but another plane ticket was required”. The contact then insisted he could only get $15,000 of the balance and “begged” Rempel for the remaining $5,000.

Rempel obliged, borrowing the money and defaulting on his credit card and car payments.

A week later, Rempel got the call he’d been waiting for – the cash was ready to go if he could just find an extra $6,900 for “travel costs and to rent trunks to ship the money”.

The final contact between Rempel and the scammers was when they called to say they’d arrived at the airport in New York. However, there was a slight snag – security had stopped them and they needed $12,500 for a bribe.

Rempel, still none the wiser but substantially lighter in the wallet, told them: “No way, I’m cleaned out.”

In one last desperate act, Rempel drove to the airport with his parents and 10-year-old brother, but found no trace of his friends or the money. They then went home and called the police.

The unidentified lawyer said his client had no family but wanted to leave the money to a Rempel. It was John’s his lucky day. “It sounded all good so I called him,” said John. “He sounded very happy and said God bless you.”

The final cost of Rempel’s mix of greed and remarkable stupidity was $55,000 from his uncle in Mexico, $60,000 from his parents to “cover fees for transferring $12.8 million into his name”, plus the money he personally lost – a total of $150,000.

He said: “They’re in it now because of me. If it wasn’t for me, nobody would be in this mess. You think things will work out, but it doesn’t. It’s a very bad feeling. I had lots of friends. I never get calls anymore from my friends. You know, a bad reputation.”

She then threatened to report to the police. But before then, she informed a neighbour, one Pastor Emeka Onuoha, of the situation.

While this was going on, men of the Afam Police Division who were on patrol were flagged down by the pastor. Kingsley was arrested and, after interrogations, was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Rivers State.

In an attempt to cover his crime, Kingsley gave different accounts to the police, claiming that the mother of his children abandoned him to take care of their ailing child alone and the child had died for lack of attention while he toiled for find money. Yet in another account, he claimed that being so poor, he had deposited his mobile phone with a Hausa rice seller in order to get the rice that he had prepared to feed the children, not knowing that the rice had been poisoned.

When asked to lead the police to the location of Favour’s corpse, he also gave conflicting accounts. He first said she had died on the way to the hospital and so he buried her somewhere along the way and couldn’t remember where it was. Then he later said that the body was in a mortuary at a neighbouring village.

But the truth was unfolded when his parents, Mr and Mrs Ekerete, visited the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID). They told the police of Kingsley’s strange behaviour even toward the mother of his children, who ran away from home to avoid his excesses. Kingsley’s father also narrated how his son had called him immediately after the child’s death.

He has since taken the police to the site where he buried his daughter in a grave so shallow that the corpse is visible even without exhumation.

Speaking on the development, the Commissioner of Police, Tunde Ogunsakin, explained that his men, after receiving the case file from Afam Police Station, noticed that Kingsley’s explanation on his missing daughter was suspicious and that efforts to reach the mother of the deceased was rebuffed when police started investigation.

He said that this is a case of homicide and that considering the nature of the crime, Kingsley would need to go through a psychiatric test before he is taken to court for prosecution.
According to Ogunsakin, the Child’s Rights Act Sections 4 and 14 state that this is a violation of the child’s right to survival and development as well as parental care and protection. The Protest Poethttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09496854046677162494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-685820226515952798.post-53827691172464257762014-05-07T04:28:00.000-07:002014-05-07T04:28:25.689-07:00Man With World’s Largest Penis Donates It To Museum (Photos)

Bisexual American man Jonah Falcon received an extraordinary gift at birth, and now he wants to give it back. The 43-year-old Manhattanite is recognized for having the longest penis in the world, a distinction that has made him an Internet star. He has declined many opportunities in porn. But now, HuffingtonPost reports he has an offer he can't refuse.

The Icelandic Phallological Museum -- better known as "The Penis Museum" -- has offered Jonah everlasting fame, by putting his 13.5-inch sex organ on display after his death. This is an organ that
got Falcon arrested and detained by the police for being too big.

Recounting the experience, Jonah Falcon, whose penis is 9 inches flaccid, 13.5 inches erect, said he was one time stopped and frisked by the police at the San Francisco International Airport because of a bulging package hidden in his pants. He said:

I had my 'stuff' strapped to the left. I wasn't erect at the time. One of the guards asked if my pockets were empty and I said, 'Yes.'"

Falcon said he knew that his interview was about to get a lot more personal when he was led through one of the X-ray body scanners and passed a metal detector. Laughing, Falcon continued:

"Another guard stopped me and asked me if I had some sort of growth. The younger security guard felt threatened by my "very noticeable" package and interpreted it as a biological threat.

I said, It's my dick. He gave me a pat down but made sure to go around [my penis] with his hands. They even put some powder on my pants, probably a test for explosives. I found it amusing.

So I am flattered by the invitation by the penis museum. I appreciate your museum's devotion to science, and it would be an honor to have my manhood put on display, hopefully nestled between the sexual appendages of a sperm whale and a polar bear ... I hope I don't make either of those creatures jealous. May I suggest you call the exhibit, 'Jonah and the Whale'."

The penis museum opened in Reykjavik in 1997 and houses more than 300 specimen penises and penile parts from more than 93 different animals, including 17 types of whales, seven kinds of seals and walruses, a polar bear and a gorilla.
Following the recent trend of public money being used for upgrades to private residences, Ms Zille is excited to see what this upgrade will do to the value of her family home, which is to be renamed ‘Amandla’.

The initial upgrade is planned for about R20 million, but according to Western Cape Finance Minister, Alan Winde, “everyone knows that these things often run way over budget, so the Western Cape Government has set aside R246 million for inevitable cost overruns”.

This project will include many of the latest “security features” to protect Ms Zille. The full details of the upgrade are classified, but the Project Manager for the upgrade, Mr Tell Us Nxesi, is able to confirm that Zille’s new home will include a “decontamination Jacuzzi”, a “security surveillance theatre”, an “underground safety gym”, and an “emergency helipad that will also serve as a tennis court”.

When quizzed about whether she thought the upgrades were defensible, Ms Zille responded: “I didn’t ask for these upgrades. I am the Premier, sure, but I don’t get involved in any actual decisions. I just work here.”

When asked how this upgrade would be paid for, given the other pressing social needs in the country, Mr Winde said “It doesn’t matter. The money must be found. We will make a plan. I mean, come on – this is for Helen!”

Mr Winde has said further that he was considering the “introduction of e-tolls in the Western Cape”. In an unguarded moment, he went on to say “we will obviously tell people that their money is being used to upgrade the roads and stuff”.

The ANC has responded to this news with outrage. ANC spokesperson Mr Jack Daniels Mthembu said that “there can only be one Number One. The DA thinks it can behave like a real government. But Zille is racist – we built Zuma’s palace in the rural areas where development is needed. The DA is building their palace in the city. We will be reporting this matter to the Public Protector for investigation”. – Banana NewslineThe Protest Poethttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09496854046677162494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-685820226515952798.post-80145609961466135122014-05-06T10:56:00.003-07:002014-05-06T10:56:10.069-07:00Sugar Mama Drama For Orlando Pirates Defender
THE sugar mama’s got him by the balls! Orlando Pirates’ no nonsense defender Ayanda Gcaba (27) is gatvol with his baby mama, Kim Everton (34).

Kim, who works at Harmony Mine in Welkom, is said to travel from the Free State to Jozi just to order Ayanda around.

Friends of the soccer player, whose nickname is “Lesilo”, told Sunday Sun that Kim’s got him by the balls and demands that he marries her. “Kim would accuse Ayanda of sleeping with young bitches,” said Ayanda’s close friend.

It has also emerged that Kim is insecure about her age.

“He’s embarrassed to have a baby with a woman who is older than him. He wants to end the relationship, but he’s scared of Kim,” said another friend in soccer circles.

Sunday Sun also understands that Kim wants to quit her job to live at Ayanda’s house.

“Kim moers him when she feels he’s not giving her attention. She wants him to renovate her mum’s RDP house in Welkom. He promised her that if Pirates had won the CAF Champions League, he would extend the RDP. But after Pirates had lost, Kim’s dreams went up in smoke,” said Kim’s friend.

Sunday Sun approached Kim about the drama and she said: “Where did you get this? The people who told you this (story) are jealous, because they want to get into Ayanda’s pants.

“I met him before he played soccer and we have a lovely one-year-old child. I might be older than him, but that doesn’t matter,” she said.

Ayanda hung up the phone when the SunTeam contacted him for a comment and ignored an SMS sent to him. – Sunday SunThe Protest Poethttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09496854046677162494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-685820226515952798.post-74081706959502905292014-05-06T10:53:00.001-07:002014-05-06T10:53:22.275-07:00“I think Teko Modise Is Gay,” Says Ex-Fiancee Lizelle Tabane

MAMELODI Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise rediscovered his form on the field – but lost it between the sheets, so says ex-fiancee Lizelle Tabane.

She has dumped him like a used condom. Lizelle said Teko was not even doing his manly duties! She told the People’s Paper: “He always slept with his clothes on. And always passed out before doing anything. “At some point I even thought he was gay – because he cared more about his unemployed friends than his fiancee.”

So the gatvol Lizelle packed her belongings and left Teko high and dry. Speaking to Sunday Sun, Lizelle said she left Teko’s house two weeks ago. She’s back with her parents in Pretoria.

In a frank interview with Sunday Sun, Lizelle said: “I’m done with him! I can’t pretend any more. I’m not staying in a place where I’m unhappy.

“He kept chasing other girls – while he was committed to me. I don’t remember how many times we fought over this but he kept on doing the same thing.”

She claimed: “He always came home from parties and strip clubs at 5am – after he got his form back. “I did everything a woman could to save our relationship. I treated him well but he repaid me with disrespect.”

Two weeks back, Lizelle was spotted at a top nightspot in Rosebank, Joburg – without her ring.

“I’ll never wear that ring because I’m no longer engaged. I never asked him to propose. “So I’ll just keep it as a gift to remind myself that I was once engaged,” she said.

Lizelle made a commitment to Sunday Sun that she will never date anyone who is a public figure again. “I’m tired of these guys. They use a beautiful girl so they can attract more beautiful girls,” she said.

Lizelle added: “He even asked me to have a baby with him but I said no. I couldn’t have a baby with someone who doesn’t take care of his own kids.”

Lizelle said Teko’s family also dumped him. “His mum doesn’t want to be involved in his problems anymore. He doesn’t listen!”

Teko’s manager Jazzman Mahlakgane, said: “I don’t manage Teko’s social life. Ask me about his performance on the soccer field.” When we called him Teko refused to comment. – Sunday SunThe Protest Poethttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09496854046677162494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-685820226515952798.post-74670165504190358792014-05-06T10:51:00.002-07:002014-05-06T10:51:31.055-07:00Somizi’s Lover Attempts Suicide

NOTHING lasts forever – not even great love…

And when Somizi Mhlongo’s relationship went up in smoke after four years, he dumped his boyfriend.

But grief nearly turned to tragedy when the broken-hearted Themba allegedly swallowed a whole bottle of pills to end the beating of his sad heart for evermore!

The People’s Paper understands that Themba (24) was emotionally destroyed to learn that his gay lover’s passion for him had finally cooled. He slumped into a deep depression.

So he decided to bring his life to an abrupt halt by giving his system a huge dose of mixed pills. Sunday Sun insiders said Themba tried to commit suicide and die for love in Somizi’s penthouse, downtown Jozi.

One source said: “The problem started because Themba was a double adapter! He was also dating a woman and had decided to go back to her.

“Somizi didn’t take the rejection kindly but things returned back to normal for a while.

“The pair went on a luxurious trip to Durban in December. But things then started to fall apart again when they came back,” said the source.

The insider added: “Themba felt rejected because Somizi was too busy with work and his BFF Bonang.

“So he took a bunch of pills and drank it. We’re not sure if he was trying to kill himself – or if he simply wanted Somizi’s attention.”

Another source said Somizi didn’t have time and suggested that Themba should go back to Durban.

“That’s when we knew it was the end of the affair. Themba went back to Durban but the problem is that his family didn’t welcome him with open arms,” said the source.

Sunday Sun has learnt that Themba is currently staying with friends in Durban. A close friend in Durban said that Themba’s mum has always been against the relationship.

“She used to call Somizi and ask him to stay away from her son,” said the friend.

When Sunday Sun contacted Somizi, he said: “Yes, I have a boyfriend named Themba. I cannot comment on what you’re asking me. For more information you should go back to your source,” he said.

Last week a reluctant Themba said: “I’m not interested in what you are saying.

Durban – In a quest to send a very strong message against homophobia and cultural exclusion on the basis of sexual orientation, a resolution has been passed by the South African national assembly allowing gay people to participate in the annual Zulu reed dance.

This controversial move, which is bound to make Shaka Zulu turn in his grave, has been surprisingly welcomed by “reformed homophobe” King Goodwill Zwelithini as his way of extending an olive branch to the gay community at large.

“A lot of uneducated opinions where expressed on what makes a person istabane (gay)… But seeing that there is no concrete evidence on what makes a person straight either, the monarchy has concluded that both sexual orientations are unexplainable acts of nature,” the honorable Zwelithini told reporters.

King Goodwill Zwelithini added that this decision was very important in ensuring abstinence until marriage, ultimately capping the alarming rate of HIV infections within the gay community.

Although the Zulu king is still unclear on how virginity testing will be conducted on gay men, he assumes it will be done “from the back”.

South Africa, which boasts one of the most liberal constitutions in the world, passed a law allowing same-sex couples to legally marry in 2006. South Africa is the fifth country, the first (and only) in Africa, the first in the southern hemisphere, and the second outside Europe to legalise same-sex marriage.

Iko Mash, a celebrity drag queen and makeup artist, said s/he will be participating in the reed dance.

“Although I shave my manly face everyday and have very strong jaw-lines, big feet, and need to “tuck-it-in” most of the time – I look in the mirror and see a beautiful black woman. In fact, I’m often confused for a Nigerian woman, especially in Lagos,” joked Iko Mash.

“I have been saving myself for the right man and many believe I’m lying like Kelly Khumalo. Going for virginity testing will prove that, and hopefully the right guy will come my way,” Iko added.

Iko Mash says s/he hopes that Swaziland will follow suit in allowing drag queens to participate in the reed dance. This, s/he added, will bring her closer to realising her ultimate dream of being a real queen.

Should Swaziland allow this highly unlikely dream, Iko is adamant that s/he will be amongst thousands of “women” picked by King Mswati for a hand in marriage, and the two will live happily ever after in their Lozitha royal palace in Mbabane, Swaziland.

In South Africa, the ceremony Umkhosi woMhlanga takes place every year in September, at the Enyokeni Royal Palace in Nongoma, KwaZulu Natal. The girls come from all parts of Zululand, and in recent years there are also smaller groups from Swaziland, as well as more distant places such as Botswana and Pondoland.

All girls are required to undergo a virginity test before they are allowed to participate in a royal dance, though in recent years the testing practice has been met with some opposition.

The girls wear traditional attire, including beadwork, and ‘izigege’ and ‘izinculuba’ that show their bottoms. They also wear anklets, bracelets, necklaces, and colourful sashes. Each sash has appendages of a different colour, which denote whether or not the girl is betrothed.

As part of the ceremony, the young women dance bare-breasted for their king, and each carries a long reed, which is then deposited as they approach the king. The girls take care to choose only the longest and strongest reeds, and then carry them towering above their heads in a slow procession, up the hill to the palace.

The procession is led by the chief Zulu princess, who takes a prominent role throughout the festival. If the reed should break before the girl reaches that point, it is considered to signal that the girl has already been sexually active.

The ceremony was reintroduced by King Goodwill Zwelethiniin 1991, as a means to encourage young Zulu girls to delay sexual activity until marriage, and thus limiting the possibility of HIV transmission. In 2007, about 30,000 girls took part in the event.

The organisers of the ceremony have occasionally enforced strict rules on photographers, as some of them have been accused of publishing the pictures on pornographic websites.

In past years, the event was attended by the President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, and then Premier of KwaZulu Natal, Zweli Mkhize.

Kudoma’s sister and family spokesperson, Isabel Kudoma described her brother’s death as heart rending and mysterious.
“When we arrived at the scene the back of the vehicle was separated from the front part. The six teenagers are all expecting, while the conductor, Gift Siluma of Makokoba, also has a 20-month-old child with a woman from the same suburb.
They said he only gives them small amounts ranging between $1 and $5 and dupes them into believing he owns the King Lion buses that ply inter-city routes.
One of the six teenagers, Jeena Sibanda, 19, who is seven months pregnant, said she fell in love with Siluma about two years ago.
Sibanda said Siluma used to be a loving boyfriend until she told him she was pregnant.

She said upon arriving at Siluma's house in Makokoba, she found two other pregnant girls claiming he had promised to marry them.

She gave a detailed account of how Siluma and his other "girlfriends" mistreated her while she was at his house.

Jeena's mother, Thembi, said she made a report at Mzilikazi Police Station after she discovered how Siluma was abusing her. Thembi said the charges were dropped following intervention from Siluma's family.

Thembi said Siluma had not said a word to them neither had he offered any financial assistance since her daughter left his house last month.
A grief stricken Betty Mnguni, 30, of Tsenolong section, said her brother fatally stabbed her son Themba, 14, in the head for a mere R10, which was meant for the boy’s school lunch. The boy died on arrival at the Tembisa Hospital.

Mnguni said Themba was about to leave for school when his uncle demanded the money. It is suspected that he wanted the money to buy drugs.

She was in the bedroom at the time and heard a loud sound as the boy fell to the ground. She ran to the room and found the boy lying on the floor bleeding.

“My brother came straight at me wielding a knife. I tried to stop him but he kept on coming and stabbed me in the left shoulder and hand,” Mguni said.

When their younger sister Judith, 18, tried to intervene, he also stabbed her but she was not hurt badly.

Mnguni was shocked because she said her brother was a quiet youth who never hurt anyone. She blamed his actions on his addiction to nyaope, a deadly drug that has become popular in the area.

Operation Thibela Nyaope (Stop nyaope) spokesperson Moses Matlaila said he was receiving counselling from the organisation. “He only attended a day before killing his nephew.”

Matlaila said nyaope was a big problem in the Tembisa township.

The man was arrested on Thursday, a source said. Tembisa police spokesperson Const Tebogo Sesing could not confirm the incident. The Protest Poethttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09496854046677162494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-685820226515952798.post-29506720166780654542014-05-05T11:18:00.001-07:002014-05-05T11:18:23.356-07:00Nyaope smokers fuming over law to make it illegal

BOIKIE Khumalo (27) is angry! A self-confessed nyaope addict, he spends R300 a day on his habit and finding the money isn’t easy.

But now he’s got a new worry - he could go to jail for his habit!

So could his dealer, but that’s not his problem.

“The government should arrest the dealers, not the users,” said Boikie, who lives in Mamelodi East, north-east of Pretoria.

Under a new law, people convicted of possession of nyaope can be fined or jailed for up to 15 years.

Worried nyaope user Papi Ndlovu (21) had a different spin on the issue.

“I think government must build a rehab centre where they can take all the nyaope addicts for treatment.”

He said: “Nyaope is a big problem in the kasi, especially in Mamelodi East where many young men and women are smoking it. They steal everything, even a teaspoon, just to feed their habit.

Bryce Moon, 26, a former national team player currently contracted to Premier League side Bidwest Wits, also had his licence suspended for six months at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Moon was sentenced to two years in jail, but avoids jail time because he has an option of paying the fine – of which R20,000 was payable on Monday. The rest will be paid in R10,000 instalments from the end of May to the end of August.

Moon had originally been charged with attempted murder, negligent and reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol over the June 2009 incident on Katherine Road in Sandton when he ran over and killed Mavis Ncube, a domestic worker, shortly after 5AM.

At the conclusion of his trial on April 12, a magistrate acquitted him on all charges but found him guilty of culpable homicide after finding that he was speeding at the time.

During sentencing on Monday, magistrate Vincent Pienaar said jailing Moon would be too harsh a sentence to impose because of his career as a professional football player.

On the other hand, Pienaar said, the offence was too serious and too prevalent for a total suspended sentence as he imposed the fine and withdrew his licence.

“If it had been proven that you had been driving under the influence of alcohol, the sentence would have been direct imprisonment,” Pienaar told Moon.

“But regardless of the sentence you get, nothing will bring the deceased back.”

Moon testified during his trial that there was no way he could avoid hitting Ncube as she ran into the path of his car.
He said Ncube and his cousin Thandi Sibanda had run into the road as he entered a bend, and he swerved his Mercedes-Benz to the left to avoid hitting them.

“As I swerved, the second pedestrian (Ncube) ran into the direction I was driving towards and I couldn’t avoid her… it was too late for me to avoid her and I struck her,” he said.

He said he hit a wall after knocking Ncube down. He got out of the car, with his head bleeding, and sat on a tree stump and waited for help.

Moon said he was driving at a speed of between 60 and 70km/h, which the magistrate Pienaar rejected as “clearly false”.
Moon had testified he had gone to pick up two friends who had attended a function with him the previous night. He said he had left his friends at the event at about 1AM, telling them to call him if they needed fetching. They called him at 5AM, and the accident happened on the way.
Ncube’s father was in court on Monday and said he was not satisfied with the sentence.
“It’s not fair, but anyway regardless (of the sentence we would have wanted), it won’t bring her back. If you have money, you have the licence to kill in South Africa. What is R60,000?” said Tinas Mpofu.

Moon, who was smartly dressed in a grey suit, didn’t say anything about his sentence before he was swiftly taken down to the cells for fingerprinting.

His lawyer, advocate Naren Sangham, said he would file a motion to appeal the conviction and sentence and was hopeful it would be heard this week.
Gregory Turner, Ncube’s employer, was also in court on Monday morning, accompanying Mpofu. He said he was also disappointed. The Protest Poethttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09496854046677162494noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-685820226515952798.post-23791169455046302032014-05-05T11:01:00.003-07:002014-05-05T11:01:24.680-07:00HE KILLED MY FRIEND IN A SHRINE. A TRUE STORY THAT SCARES

“Sir, we write to inform you that John Aku is dead. He died by 7PM at Igandon road, Lagos, burial arrangements shall be communicated to you when we sort things out”.
This is the SMS I got that scared the hell outta me. I spoke to John in the afternoon. My friend was with him by 6 PM, 7 PM he kicked the bucket.
As friends thronged to see his corpse, everyone was asking God why he let such a good guy die so early. Even though his car somersaulted, there was no dent on the car. The autopsy result showed no injuries and they classified the death as UNUSUAL. He was only 43 years.

THE TRUTH AND WHY HE DIED.
As the burial arrangements were being made, the family received a letter from a shrine in the east that claimed to be responsible for his death. The shrine stated why its spirit killed him and the exact time he was killed at the Igando bridge. It was a water spirit and he died on the bridge of the river.
According to sources, John died because a childhood friend reported him to a shrine that he ate his visa money and another 1000 USD/Euros given to him to give his friend.

THE STORY.
Four persons met John Aku to do visa for them. He got 3 of them visa and the one that killed him was denied visa. It was alleged that 750k was given to John Aku. Since the guy was denied visa, John delayed to pay him back the money.
We heard when he was reported to the shrine, the priests sent letters to his dad in the village. His dad refused telling him. Then the spirit came to him in Lagos and warned him and he refused to go state his case in the shrine.

THE TROUBLE AND RESOLUTION.
A lot of people saw the story as jargon but as burial arrangements were made to inter his remains to earth, the shrine wrote a letter that if restoration in the right amounts were not made and Mr. John buried, his second brother would be killed till the last.
The family got the 750k and the 1000 USD/EU and paid. After the rites were done, he was buried.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF THIS ACTION.
Even though the childhood friend was paid his full money. He cannot escape God’s wrath.
We do not blame the spirit that did his work. Only Jesus Christ will judges and metes out justice as He wants. But the one that reported this to the shrine must balance the consequences. When the bible says”Whatever you sow, u shall reap.” The Word of God does not lie.
The killer cannot be free neither would his children and generations.
I want to assure u of one thing. Whoever sheds blood spiritually or physically must pay for it. Either in this world or in the world to come. The Word of God cannot be changed. Every man or woman is an image of the Supreme Deity who calls all to justice in due time and rewards everyone according to his or her deeds.
Why resort to shrines to settle issues and give order that your friend be killed?
How much money on earth would replace a human being made by God in God’s image and likeness?

“Leave vengeance for me” Says the Lord. Why not allow God to fight for you? Why not allow God to bless you by letting the other live as u are living?

I do not support evil.
But how much would u make with 750k? Why cage your family in hardship due to ignorant of God’s world order?
My brothers and sisters, anyone that kills a fellow human being must face the consequences and thus puts his or her family in bondage.
Jesus said to Peter”Simon, sheath thy sword…for a killer must die by being killed.”
May God Almighty Protect Us from evil friends in Jesus Name Type Amen.
